Leicester's Biggest Bonfire Night at Abbey Park, Simon Brodkin at De Montfort Hall, Plus Stand-Up at Just the Tonic!

Morning!

Abbey Park hosts Leicester's biggest bonfire night on Saturday, with two firework displays, a funfair and hot food stalls.

Also this week, Chris Packham is at De Montfort Hall on Wednesday, Simon Brodkin is there on Thursday, and Just the Tonic has four stand-ups at The Cross on Saturday.

WHAT'S HAPPENING THIS WEEK

🎆 - Leicester's Biggest Bonfire Night - Two Firework Displays and a Funfair at Abbey Park!

📅 - Sat 7th Nov
⏰ - Gates open 5:00pm

Abbey Park hosts the city's biggest bonfire night, with a traditional bonfire, a quieter first display at 6:45pm, a bigger one at 8:00pm, plus a family funfair, hot food stalls and a licensed bar.

It is cheaper to book ahead, because the price goes up on the day. Wrap up warm, because a hot dog tastes better in a field in November.

⏰ - Mon to Sat: 5:30pm to 10:30pm
⏰ - Last orders: 10:00pm

Mem Saab is a family-run Indian fine dining restaurant in the city centre, with a champagne bar, a piano lounge and a Leicester Restaurant of the Year badge on its own site.

The Railway Lamb Vindaloo is slow cooked with pot roasted potatoes and extra green chillies, so it is really fiery. The Lamb Nihari melts in your mouth. Ordered "medium" before and regretted it? This is your redemption.

Spiced grilled lamb chops on a grey plate with green chutney, a lime wedge and sliced onion

Four comedians, one night, one ticket. Ben Van Der Velde, Ethan Formstone, Sam Serrano and Jason Neale are on the bill at The Cross, so you get a whole mix of funny instead of one bloke's whole personality.
