They’ve recently refurbished and it looks brilliant, lighter, smarter, and the kind of place you book when you want the evening to feel like a treat. Same reliable French comfort classics, just in a space that feels like a step up. If you’re planning ahead, they’ve also got a Mother’s Day set menu on Sunday, three courses for £30.95, which makes the whole “where are we going?” question disappear.

Dominic Frisby bounces between sharp anecdotes and musical bits, with plenty of crowd tested favourites. Doors open 6:30 PM, last entry 7:00 PM, show at 7:30 PM, so get there early if you want a drink and a decent seat.
