Morning! Big week. Ed Sheeran gets the string quartet treatment at The Guildhall on Saturday, two sessions, from £20, and they're already selling out fast. Aisling Bea brings her debut tour to De Montfort Hall on Wednesday, and a brand new Vietnamese has just opened on High Street that your mate will absolutely claim they found first.

Also on Friday, Rude Science lands at De Montfort Hall, fart machines, pee-powered fireworks, and a BBC presenter who calls it educational. He's not wrong, but that's not why the kids are going.

Thanh Nam Pho just opened on High Street, bringing Vietnamese food from north to south, pho, spring rolls, summer rolls, Vietnamese pancakes, bun cha, and a menu that covers a lot of ground.

Salted iced coffee and Saigon-style coffee on the menu too, plus cocktails and Vietnamese beer if you're making a night of it. Open seven days from 11am.

BBC Gastronaut Stefan Gates brings his live science show back to De Montfort Hall, and it involves fart machines, snot cocktails, vast whoopee cushions, and pee-powered fireworks. Technically it's curriculum-driven. Practically, your kids are going to lose their minds.

Two shows on the Friday, 11:30 or 3pm. There's a free 45 minute meet and greet with Stefan after each one, which is either a bonus or a logistical consideration depending on how hyped your kids are by that point.
