Morning! It’s one of those weeks where everything’s kicking off at once. The London Symphonic Rock Orchestra is tearing up De Montfort Hall with violins and volume, the Guildhall’s packed with vintage haunts and royal ghosts, and history buffs and rock fans both have plenty to get stuck into before the weekend even lands.

Twelve classically trained musicians walk into a rock gig… and blow the place apart. The London Symphonic Rock Orchestra mash up Metallica, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin and Iron Maiden, all while dressed like mythical rock gods in a sea of candlelight. It is loud, dramatic and far too classy for how much fun it is.
