Morning! Easter week is here and we have a ABBA day party on Saturday, K Pop crafts at the Guildhall and plenty of kid friendly bits across the week so you’re not stuck doing laps of the house.

Heads up for next week in the Easter break, there’s a free drop in art day at Beaumont with a giant mural the kids can go wild on.

Five hours of ABBA at a cocktail bar on a Saturday afternoon. Completely reasonable. Wall to wall hits from Dancing Queen to Gimme Gimme Gimme, plus 70s disco fillers to keep things moving. The first three ticket releases are already sold out, the fourth is 70% gone, and last entry is 5:00 PM, so this is not one to forget about!

Padel is landing on Barkby Road this spring, and it’s basically the easiest way to feel athletic without having to learn a single new rule mid game. Club Padelaire’s bringing padel, pickleball, and table tennis under one roof, with glass walled courts and shock absorbing floors for anyone whose knees still remember secondary school PE.

Founders memberships are capped at 100, and your first session’s free, so you can try it before you start buying gear you don’t need.

The Guildhall is running a K-Pop themed Easter session and it’s basically a crafty singalong with a payoff. Kids can make a toy microphone, a friendship bracelet, and a blue tiger bunny hat, which is oddly specific and exactly why it’ll work.

There are instruments to borrow, K-Pop tunes to join in with, plus a little trail around the museum with facts and pictures.

Zamzam Unlimited Possibilities are running a free family art day at Beaumont Shopping Centre. Kids can add to a big art mural, do a planting workshop, make a badge, and chill in the reading corner. Snacks are included too, which helps. No booking needed, just turn up when it suits.
